Thermal Grizzly Launches Quieter WireView Pro II Noctua Edition

Thermal Grizzly and Noctua launched the WireView Pro II Noctua Edition on September 27, 2026. The add-in device sits at a compatible graphics card's 12V-2x6 power connector and retains the standard WireView Pro II's per-pin electrical monitoring while replacing its cooling arrangement with a larger, semi-passive Noctua-based design.

The companies list a suggested retail price of $189.90 or €189.90 and say the product is available through Thermal Grizzly and its sales partners. Normal and Reversed versions are offered because connector orientation and cable routing differ between graphics cards; Thermal Grizzly explicitly tells buyers to check its compatibility list and technical drawing before purchase.

The collaboration is primarily a thermal and acoustic redesign rather than a new monitoring architecture. Noctua says the larger CNC-machined aluminum heatsink provides enough passive dissipation for the fan to remain switched off most of the time. Under the companies' demanding test condition, Noctua reports the fan settling just below 2,000 RPM and measuring 21.5 dB(A) at 10 cm, compared with the standard version's smaller fan running around 5,000 RPM.

Those acoustic and thermal figures are manufacturer measurements, not independent Core Tech Tips testing. They establish what Noctua reports for its comparison setup, but they should not be generalized into a guaranteed noise level inside every PC case because ambient temperature, GPU load, airflow and installation geometry vary.

The WireView Pro II measures the current carried by each individual 12 V line rather than relying only on total graphics-card power. Thermal Grizzly says this can reveal unusual load distribution and potential contact problems early. The device can issue configurable visual and audible warnings when limits are crossed, and its supplied splitter cable can be used to configure an automatic shutdown.

That makes the product a monitoring and protection accessory, not a guarantee that a 12VHPWR or 12V-2x6 connector can never fail. Thermal Grizzly provides an extended two-year warranty covering qualifying connector damage under its stated terms, so the warranty conditions and GPU compatibility list remain part of the purchasing decision.

Noctua showed the WireView Pro II Noctua Edition at Computex 2026 with a September availability target. The September 27 announcement converts that earlier preview into a shipping product announcement with confirmed pricing and availability.

The distinction matters for the news value: the monitoring concept and Noctua collaboration were already known, while the new information is the completed retail release, final cooling implementation, manufacturer acoustic data and confirmed launch pricing.
