Raspberry Pi Raises 2GB Pi 4 and Pi 5 Prices as Memory Costs Climb
Raspberry Pi raises its 2GB Pi 4 and Pi 5 prices by $12.50 to $67.50 and $77.50, extending 2026's memory-driven hardware price increases.

The 2GB Raspberry Pi 4 and Pi 5 now cost $12.50 more
Raspberry Pi has raised the official prices of the 2GB Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 by $12.50 each. The 2GB Pi 4 now costs $67.50, while the 2GB Pi 5 rises to $77.50. The change took effect on October 1, 2026.
The company says the cost of memory has continued to rise steeply and that protecting these lower-memory boards from its April price increases is no longer sustainable. This is a manufacturer pricing change, so regional reseller totals can still differ because of taxes, shipping and local pricing.
| Model | Previous price | New price | Increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raspberry Pi 4 2GB | $55.00 | $67.50 | $12.50 |
| Raspberry Pi 5 2GB | $65.00 | $77.50 | $12.50 |
Several lower-memory products are unchanged
Raspberry Pi says the 1GB variants of Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 are unchanged by this announcement. The 2GB Compute Module 4 and Compute Module 5 are also unchanged in this round.
That boundary matters because the October increase is not a blanket repricing of the entire Raspberry Pi catalog. It specifically closes the price protection that the 2GB Pi 4 and Pi 5 retained during the company's April changes.
Memory pricing has reshaped the Raspberry Pi range throughout 2026
This is the latest step in a sequence of memory-driven Raspberry Pi price changes. In February, the company raised prices across Pi 4, Pi 5 and Compute Module configurations with 2GB or more of memory while protecting 1GB products. In April, Raspberry Pi increased prices again for higher-density Pi 4 and Pi 5 variants and introduced a 3GB Pi 4, while the 1GB and 2GB Pi 4 and Pi 5 boards were kept between $35 and $65.
Raspberry Pi said in April that LPDDR4 DRAM used by Pi 4 and Pi 5 had risen seven-fold over the preceding year. The company continues to describe the memory-price environment as temporary and has said it intends to reverse price increases when memory costs abate. It has not announced a date for such a reversal.
The cheapest suitable board matters more as the price ladder widens
For buyers, the practical consequence is that the 2GB models are no longer insulated from the memory-cost pressure affecting higher-capacity boards. Raspberry Pi is explicitly advising customers to match memory capacity to the workload rather than paying for unused headroom.
The price increase does not change the hardware specifications or performance of either board. It changes the value calculation: projects that fit within 1GB, older Raspberry Pi models or other unchanged configurations now have a larger price advantage over the newly repriced 2GB boards.
