Tokyo Direct mixed world premieres with concrete PC release news
The PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct aired on September 20 with new information for 36 games, including 13 world premieres. For PC players, the useful part of a showcase that large is not simply the trailer count: several games received firm launch dates, playable demos or major-update timing, while other reveals supplied concrete technical details about their PC versions.
This roundup therefore does not reproduce every trailer in show order. It concentrates on announcements that changed what a PC player can install, test, schedule or verify. Event-level counts come from the PC Gaming Show recap; release and feature details below are checked against developer, publisher or storefront material where available.

| Neon Abyss 2 | 1.0 on October 8, 2026 | Leaves Early Access; four-player online co-op remains a headline feature |
| Virtue and a Sledgehammer | October 27, 2026; Steam demo available | PC release date confirmed for the destructive narrative action game |
| Mycopunk | 1.0 on October 20, 2026 | Co-op FPS exits Early Access |
| Let's Build a Dungeon | Early Access on February 11, 2027 | Management sim now has a dated PC Early Access launch |
| Core Keeper 1.3 | Released September 21, 2026 | Riders of the Underground adds mounts, Hookshot traversal and the Moss sub-biome |
| Thief: The Dark Project Remastered | PC release date still TBA | Nightdive lists KEX Engine, up to 4K/120 FPS, modern controller features and custom-campaign support |
Neon Abyss 2 and Mycopunk now have dates for leaving Early Access
Veewo Games used the show to date Neon Abyss 2 version 1.0 for October 8, 2026. The sequel has been in PC Early Access since July 2025, and its full release continues to emphasize online co-op for up to four players alongside its roguelike run-and-gun structure. The date is more useful than trying to infer performance from the trailer: no new benchmark result is implied by the announcement.
Devolver Digital also confirmed that Pigeons at Play’s Mycopunk will leave Early Access on October 20. It is a cooperative first-person shooter built around robot characters fighting fungal enemies, with its existing upgrade systems and mission structure carrying into the 1.0 milestone. The show establishes release timing, not a new claim about frame rate or hardware requirements.
Virtue and a Sledgehammer launches October 27, with a demo already on Steam
Devolver Digital, Deconstructeam and Selkie Harbour announced an October 27, 2026 PC release for Virtue and a Sledgehammer. A Steam demo is available now. The game combines third-person action and narrative exploration with destructible structures: the player can use the sledgehammer to create paths through parts of the environment rather than following only predefined routes.
That is a gameplay feature confirmed by the publisher and store description, not evidence for a particular destruction engine, physics implementation or performance profile. The announcement does not justify inventing CPU, GPU or storage expectations that the developers have not published.
Let's Build a Dungeon enters Early Access in February 2027
Springloaded’s Let's Build a Dungeon now has a February 11, 2027 Early Access date. The management game puts the player in charge of a game studio while also allowing them to design the MMORPG that studio is building, so its simulation spans both company management and the structure of the fictional online game.
The dated Early Access milestone is the concrete change from Tokyo Direct. As with the other announcements here, a launch window should not be expanded into unsupported assumptions about final content scope, pricing or PC performance.
Core Keeper 1.3 is already live, adding mounts and a new traversal tool
Core Keeper’s Riders of the Underground update followed the showcase on September 21 and is now live as version 1.3. Pugstorm’s release notes add Saddles that turn cattle into rideable mounts, a Hookshot for crossing pits and water, and a Moss sub-biome in the Forgotten Ruins with the new Orex cattle.
The update is the first major stop on the Road to the Maw roadmap, ahead of Trials of the Depths 1.4 and Beyond the Breach 1.5. That makes this more than a trailer-only announcement: PC players can already verify the 1.3 changes in the shipping build.
Thief Remastered supplied the clearest PC technical specification of the show
Nightdive’s Thief: The Dark Project Remastered still has no firm release date on Steam, but its storefront now gives unusually concrete technical detail. The remaster uses Nightdive’s KEX Engine, includes the original Thief plus the Thief Gold missions and content, and lists support for visuals up to 4K at 120 FPS.
The PC release also lists modern gamepad support with a weapon wheel, rumble and motion/gyro controls, a mission selector, graphical updates to textures, models and animations, and built-in support for custom campaigns. Steam currently lists Windows 10 64-bit, 2 GB RAM and a DirectX 11 or Vulkan 1.1-capable GPU as the minimum configuration. Those are published requirements and capabilities, not measured performance guarantees on every compatible system.
Stronghold 4 was a major showcase item, but the event did not turn it into a hardware story
Firefly Studios showed more of Stronghold 4, one of the event’s most prominent PC strategy games. The showcase material expands the picture of its castle-building and skirmish play, but a trailer does not establish PC performance, final system requirements or benchmark behavior. Those details should be covered separately when Firefly publishes evidence that can support them.
That distinction applies across the event. Tokyo Direct produced a useful set of release milestones and playable software, while many of its world premieres remain early announcements. For PC readers, the strongest immediate takeaways are the dates, demos, live updates and explicit platform features above—not predictions inferred from footage.
