NVIDIA announces 25 GeForce NOW additions for October
NVIDIA has announced 25 games for GeForce NOW during October 2026. Six were listed as ready to stream during the week of the October 1 announcement, while the rest are scheduled to join throughout the month.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered is the most technically notable title already available from the new list. NVIDIA says Performance and Ultimate members can stream the remaster, while Ultimate members use the service's RTX 5080-class cloud tier. That is a description of the remote GeForce NOW hardware class, not a claim that a user's local PC gains RTX 5080 performance.
| Game | NVIDIA's October status | Store-release timing listed by NVIDIA |
|---|---|---|
| The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered | Streaming during the first October week | September 29 |
| Gears of War: E-Day | Announced for October | October 6 on Steam |
| STAR WARS: Galactic Racer | Announced for October | October 6 on Steam |
| Permafrost | Announced for October | October 9 on Steam |
| Planet Zoo 2 | Announced for October | October 13 on Steam |
| Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 | Announced for October | October 22 on Steam |
Store release dates are not guaranteed GeForce NOW activation dates
NVIDIA explicitly warns that the dates in its monthly list reflect release dates on the named game stores. GeForce NOW availability can vary because games are onboarded after release and added throughout the week.
That distinction matters for Gears of War: E-Day. NVIDIA lists the game among October additions and gives October 6 as its Steam release date, but users should not interpret the store date as a guaranteed minute-for-minute GeForce NOW activation time. The cloud version is announced for October; actual onboarding remains subject to NVIDIA's rollout.
The Witcher 3 Remastered is already part of the cloud lineup
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered launched on September 29 and is included among the six games NVIDIA says are streaming during the first October week. The remaster itself adds a substantially heavier PC rendering path, including path tracing and newer reconstruction technology, so cloud availability gives players another way to access those graphics features without rendering them on the local machine.
Cloud rendering does not remove every local requirement. Streaming quality still depends on the user's network connection, display, client-device decoding capabilities and GeForce NOW membership tier. NVIDIA's RTX 5080-class statement applies to the Ultimate cloud infrastructure rather than the client hardware.
October's list mixes new releases with catalog additions
The monthly lineup is not limited to day-one releases. NVIDIA's first-week group also includes existing games such as Bookshop Simulator, Megastore: Tidy Up Together and Planet Coaster 2 on Xbox, while later October additions mix new launches with established titles.
For subscribers, the durable takeaway is therefore broader than one headline game: NVIDIA is continuing to use GeForce NOW both as a day-one cloud route for selected PC releases and as an expanding remote library for games users may already own on supported storefronts.
